LASIK eye surgery is an eye procedure that's been in the news recently and has become very popular

with Dr. Jonathan Rubenstein

The whole area of refractive surgery has become very wide-spread in recent years. We have gone from probably less than 50,000 procedures in 1995 to an estimated figure of more than 2 million in the year 2001.

Dr. Jonathan Rubinstein is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He is also an attending physician at Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center and Rush North Shore Medical Center. Dr. Rubinstein is also Director of Refractive Surgery at Rush. He has served as principal investigator in the clinical trials of the Excimer Laser for PRK in astigmatism, myopia and hyperopia..
