Approximately 10.5 million people with diagnosed diabetes have some
form of diabetic eye disease. In fact, if you have diabetes, you're at
increased risk for blindness. So, at least once a year, get a dilated eye
examination in which drops are used to enlarge your pupils. This allows
your eye care professional to see more of the inside of your eye to check
