ISPB Welcomes Two New Board Members

The board of directors of the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness is proud to welcome two new board members - Peter J. Latz and Robert P. Schroeder.

Peter J. Latz, is no stranger to ISPB. He was one of our own enucleation technician with our Illinois Eye Bank while he was attending law school.

A graduate from DePaul University and John Marshall Law School, Mr. Latz is currently in private practice in Chicago, with a concentration on proboate and estate planning. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Illinois Eye Bank.

Mr. Latz and his wife Michele and children (Maria, Catherine, Peter, and Eva) live in River Forest.

Robert P. Schroeder, M.D., the immediate past president of the Chicago Ophthalmological Society, continues the tradition of serving a one year term on the ISPB board.

Dr. Schroeder is presently Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, Chief Surgical Retinal Service at Northwestern University Medical School and Retinal Consultant, Division of Ophthalmology, Children's Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Schroeder and his wife Deborah Gersh and family live in Glencoe.
